• As for Jackson I can tell you he is a very kind and friendly person! We had lots of "mini" conversations between takes about everything from religion to being members of SAG, and everything in between! He is definitely not an actor with a big ego; he is very humble and realizes that he is lucky to be a working actor considering how many thousands of people out there are trying to break into the business. He seems to be a very grounded person and spoke openly about being raised to have good morals and how he still tries to stick to that. One thing that set him apart from the other actors I worked with on this shoot, is that he was very friendly and talkative with the crew and extras (not that the other actors weren't kind, they just mostly kept to themselves). One day, there was this one rather old man working as an extra who was driving almost everyone crazy (he was a bit eccentric) but Jackson was very patient with him and didn't shy away from conversation. For a random fact about the "S. Darko" shoot and Jackson - he mentioned that on his days off he liked to go into downtown Salt Lake City, ride the TRAX (it's like a light rail system) and go explore the city. :) - anonymous
• I attended my friend, Arthur Napiontek's [pineapple express] birthday party with my best friend. Jackson Rathbone, Ben Graupner, Kellan Lutz[emmett in twilight], Nikki Reed[rosalie in twilight, she apparently showed up later on], some abercrombie models were all there [I felt so out of place! haha], but everyone was super nice. My friend and I talked to Kellan for awhile. He is so sweet and very kind, not bad to look at either.
Anyway, the party was slowly wrapping up and I was like omg I must meet Jackson. [I love twilight btw] And finally Art introduced my friend and I to him. I was so embarrassed, I felt like such a twilight dork and not a real person, ya know? But dont worry I wasn't like in tears or shaking. Haha. I acted normal although i was like "ahhhhh inside :)". So I first shook his hand, then he gave me a hug. We eventually started talking, he bought us drinks. Good thing my best friend talks a lot because I was pretty nervous at first haha.
I warmed up later but ya we chatted about how he was born in Singapore, he's from Texas but has traveled like everywhere! We also took a few pictures. Okay so the night went on and we all went back to Art's pad. For some reason his friend put on Harry Potter...haha Ben and Jackson were outside for awhile talking. Then he came inside and sat next to me. Gasp, I know. So we talked and such... he's a very interesting guy to talk to. He's grunge and laidback. He told me how he plays guitar and then about his band and if he could he would just play in like Venice Beach on the sidewalk with his hat [the rabbit fur one he wears in the youtube video scientists, he had that one on haha].
We joked around a lot, he's easy to talk to. We also had a debate on whether wizards or vampires are better. He kept saying vampires and I kept making him prove it! Sometime in the middle of chatting, I spilled my whole glass of "liquid" on my dress. Hahaha! I would! He helped me clean up and stuff. What a gentleman! That's another thing. He is such a southern gentleman, like wow.
Umm he also said that Stephenie Meyer was going to be featured in the Twilight movie but he wouldnt tell me her character, so surprise surprise! Later on my best friend and I decided to leave right when Ben and Jackson were leaving so we walked out together. We were going to part once we got outside but Jackson, being the gentleman he is, offered to walk us to the car which was very far. I was cold so he put his arm around me, awww and stufff... and he told me how he's colorblind! He didnt know what color this car was! I dont know if he was joking or not, and then yeah, we had to say goodbye. It was so sad and also he opened the car door for me, he held out his hand when I was getting out of the car, omg he was so adorable. But yeah that's the general story, I didnt want to get too detailed, haha. Although I know I probably left a lot out, I didnt think of... oh and I didnt talk to Ben much because the whole time I was with Jackson, but from what my best friend told me, he's veryyy nice and they joked around a bit. - Lauren. • I attended the MTV Spoilers event in LA, and I was sitting 2nd row to the left, so when the cast first came out, I was extremely close to all of them. Once they announced and presented the clips and got off stage to go back inside, I immediately jumped out of my seat and ran up to Jackson. I felt like such a geek but I really admire him, so I asked him for a hug and he smiled and nodded. We hugged quickly, and I said the geekiest thing ever, "I love you, Jackson!" he grinned at that and got attacked by another fan. I guess it's not really an 'encounter' but close enough! - Anonymous
• Ok so where to start...I guess we can start by saying that this coverage was taken by Krystal( co-owner of THE OFFICIAL A&J FANSITE) and Penina(owner of THE CULLEN SORORITY). Both of us went together to THE TWILIGHT LIVE event in LA today(November 16th) where manye big Twilight site owners attended as well as Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli and Mike Welch.
It all started last night when I(Krystal) got a call from Penina saying that she would be able to take the car and pick me up so we would be able to go together to the event. Our main goal had been to bring you, (the fans), the best coverage possible and that was...bringin back a picture of Jackson aka JASPER!! lol
So...we got there approximately 9:40 am to find a big line wrapping around the building. We had heard that only 500 people would be able to get wristbands to get into the event...meaning...we had to get there early. The store then opened at 10am sharp letting us in to get our wristbands. The first 70 people got also another wristband to get autographs after the pannel session. Unfortunately, we were not in the first 70...but we still did not give up! So...we got out wristbands and we headed to the store to buy the Twiligth companion so that we had something to get signed. We again...were not going to give up! lol After that we headed upstairs of the Borders to the event and decided to seek out our seats. To our disappointment, all the seats in the front were taken so our only option ws to stand. We went to go stand towards the front were a tape ran along the side as a walk way to the small stage. We waited and met a very awesome Twilight mom named Lydia who was sooo sweet! While waiting we realized that the walk way we were standing next to was the actual walk way that the Twilight cast would be passing through! So we planned it out and decided to line up and have our books out ready with our sharpies incase they would be able to stop and sign them...and maybe just maybe take a picture. Meanwhile...other big twiligth fansite owners such as Bailey(nomoremarbles), Kaleb(Kaleb Nation/ Twilight Guys), Twilight MOM founders, Twilight Music Girls and Larry passed by letting them take a picture with them! It was starting to get very comforting ....giving us hope for that one Jackson photo. So finally the show started, Twilight Music Girls opened up and they were AMAZING! Not only where they amazing but they sang a cover for Muses' song "Time is Running Out"! Everyone sang along and it was awesome! Then right before they announced the guests appearing, they announced that two special guest were also going to be showing up! After that, the moment we were waiting for so long, came, having Mike Welch (Mike Newton) first pass by us saying hi and signing our books, then Peter Facinelli passed with his little girl but was not able to sign, then last but not least, Jackson came and we asked him to sign our books...he eagerly said yes and he was sooooo nice! As soon as the cast was situated on teh stage...we then noticed two new people up on stage. Yep it was Solomon Trimble and Christian Serratos!! They were the special guests that were announced.
The time came that the questions and answers ended and so they would be passing by once more. It was our last chance, at a photo with Jackson. First passed Peter, who kindly signed our books, then came Jackson. Jackson was sooooo nice , we asked for a picture and we don't know how we did it but I(Krystal) ended up in the middle and sqwished in between Jackson and Penina...he smelled soooo good! lol Yes i know your laughing right now. Anyways...he was soooo nice! Out of everyone at the event, we were the only lucky ones to get a photo with Jackson. Which we felt bad for everyone who had gotten those 70 wristbands for the signing because we then found out that they were not allowed to take pictures at all.
Later after the whole incident with Jackson, we walked over to the area that the signing was taking place. We could see the cast but were not able to get a very good picture of them all together. So we got the guts to ask one of the security guards to take a picture for us. After refusing to take a picture for us, saying he could loose his job, he took our camera anyways and snapped a pictures of them up close! Yep...luck was in our favor today! lol
Then it was time for them to be escorted out of the building. All had left leaving Mike be the last one walk out the door. Right when we were about to leave, I(Krystal) saw a lady run to the door and said for them to stop bringing Mike back out. We then hurried over to her and asked her if we could take pictures with Mike. She then hurridly had us follow her taking us to a line. There we waited in line and got to choose a portrait shot of Mike which he was to sign. I (Krystal) get there and the very nice lady directing everyone takes our camera and is ready to take the picture, meanwhile Mike and I are hugging each other and she takes the picture but then says to wait because there was no flash, so for five more minutes, I am in the same pose with Mike, and we just start looking at each other, still holding each other, trying to be patient, and finally the lady says that it was in video the whole time! Mike and I both laughed and then our picture was taken, then after I asked for a hug which lasted another minute.Penina was then next and took a picture with him too and hugged him too!
